Terry Turner co-produced and edited this Emmy-winning episode of Command Performance for the Pentagon Channel. The interview with band members of the legendary rock group KISS was recorded at Rodeo Houston. "Command Performance: Kiss" was recognized by the National Academy of Television Artsand Sciences, National Capital/Chesapeake Bay Chapter as an Emmy winner in 2012.

This package is part of TPC's coverage of the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team -- service members who lost limbs in combat or major accidents who now tour the country, playing softball games and sharing their message of recovery with veterans and the general public at large.


In this package, team members talk about their battlefield injuries and how teamwork and playing softball has helped them recover from life-changing wounds.

Exploring new, spring growth in the fields and the ruins of an abandoned farm at Chapel Point on the Port Tobacco River in Southern Maryland, This is where we first flew the DJI Phantom in February. This time, it was the first flight with a new camera and gimbal. Aerial video demonstrating basic videography and drone journalism skills. Shot on GoPro 3, with a DJI Phantom UAS.

Terry Turner co-produced this "Virtual Town Hall" -- the third in a series he produced for the Pentagon Channel integrating social media with traditional broadcast television.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff ADM Mike Mullen took questions from around the world via Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms shortly before retiring in 2011.

1LT Neil Prakash, Part 1


1LT Neil Prakash led a tank column into an urban fight in Iraq. Insurgents threw everything at his tank, hoping to stop it and block the whole column.

After an hour of pounding from RPGs, 1LT Prakash's turret seized up, and the insurgents moved in for the kill.

CPT Alex Houston


CPT Alex Houston lost his hand but saved his commander's life in Iraq. A routine patrol would lead him from the streets of Iraq through the military medical system.

He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

GySgt Courville led his men to rescue fellow Marines and an Iraqi family in two urban battles in Iraq -- "almost like playing rugby while people were shooting at you."

HEROES: HM3 Luis Fonseca


HM3 Fonseca was awarded the Navy Cross -- the second highest award behind the Medal of Honor -- for saving the lives of five Marines in the early days of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

HEROES: SFC James Brasher


SFC Brasher led his men in close quarter fighting through an Afghan village filled with Taliban fighters for which he received the Silver Star.

HEROES: SPC Joseph Gibson


SPC Gibson was awarded the Silver Star after dragging a wounded comrade to safety and fighting hand to hand with a suicide bomber.

HEROES: CSM Michael Clemens


CSM Clemens was awarded the Bronze Star for actions over four days in November, 2006. He took command when his officer was wounded by an anti-tank mine, and continued the fight against Al Qaeda in Iraq insurgents.
